first, my apologies. second, major muchness found!

hello again folks.

first off, i would like to apologize for going MIA
for so long, but so many things were happening at once.
things worth blogging about, but truth be told, i was a little
shell-shocked and wanted the time to savor this
big piece of news all by my self.

so to give you all an update of what's been going on
these past four months, well, let's say pictures
speak louder than words.

and then...

after that we...

it's been the weirdest four months of my life.
so many different emotions at once, so many dreams and
so many plans. i hope to share every moment of this,
my biggest adventure, here, hoping that one day
my little one will have a cache of memories
to share and to cherish.

the toilet paper tree

sometimes i am amazed at myself and my inherent
ability to transform things that are absolutely purposeless
giving them a meaningful existence and a sense of belonging.

but, what do you do with a piece of decoration so unassuming,
boring and just downright ugly to the point that you have no choice
but to confine the poor object to an existence in the most abject
room of the house, namely the toilet room?

i'll tell you what i did. i put it in the toilet room and
stared at it while... well, you know. i have to say it was inspiring.
however, i felt bad for the poor thing, serving as decoration
in such an undignified room so i started thinking, there's
must be something i could do with this thing, and then it hit me!
right in the middle of aisle #17 at Target while staring
at my pack of Charming toilet paper.

those adorable bears that are always whipping their butts
behind the bushes in the woods for everyone to see.
and i wondered, where do they keep the toilet paper?
they must have a toilet paper tree. and that's how it came
to me, like a revelation, an epiphany of epic proportions.

behold!

the toilet paper tree!

it still not pretty, but at least it has a purpose now.

relaxing sunday

i get excited every friday, like everybody else, due to the impending
arrival of the weekend. however, i can't help but get an inevitable
feeling of despair on sunday, due to the impending arrival of
monday. to help me cope with my psychosis i try to relax
as much as possible on sundays and try not to think
of that unmentionable day of the week.

a good book + a facial mask +  freixenet wine minis
= a relaxing sunday

muchness found! vol2

a couple of weeks ago, i went to this antiques
store close to my place of work. i didn't have anything in mind
except spending my lunch hour doing some window shopping
just to kill some time. but what did you know,
i found a couple of treasures that i found
impossible to leave behind.

first find was this 1940's blue velvet cap hat.

second was this hand painted peacock fan circa 1960's

next was this ivory wool coat circa 1957

and last, but not least, my favourite out of all of my finds.
my 1970's, broken in, feathered eagle cowboy boots!
Aren't they awesome?!

P.S.

these aren't vintage by any means, well, maybe vintage
looking, but I assure you they are quite new.
But, aren't they the cutest little oxfords
you've ever seen???

rainy days

today all my best plans were laid to waste.
the weather put a damper on my very first
outfit post. oh well, i guess we need
the rain more than we need yet another
vintage loving girl's display of style.

my mom always told me that the rain brings
nothing but blessing.

well, then, let it bless!
